Characters/pairings of interest:
I'm hoping to help someone get a podfic made of their
favourite fic / their own labour of love, particularly if it's from a
small fandom or rare ship. I am a fan of a lot of different media, so
I am likely to already be familiar with your fandom.
I wanted to be able to offer to podfic something long, but as a result I won't be able to add sound effects / voice effects like I have done on some of my short podfics. That would be too big of a time commitment!
Subjects/theme/tropes of interest:
I love everything sci-fi and cryptids, so if you have a fic
like that in mind I hope you'll bid! I also love crack ships and crack
taken seriously. Basically anything is up for grabs, but if you want
to know more of what tropes I enjoy you are welcome to look through my
AO3 account, all my bookmarks are public. (Keep in mind, although I
have been reading fanfic for decades, I have only had the account for
a year so it's 99% Gentlebeard and associated ships haha)
Unwilling to address:
No RPF fandoms please, it's not my thing. I won't be able to
narrate anything that involves pregnancy (including references to it),
dub con / non-con, semi-public or public sex (this includes any sex
acts in places that could be considered public, such as a workplace),
and relationships that start with a power imbalance (such as
student/teacher and the like).
I don't mind DMs to my bluesky if you want to clarify any of the above or if you'd prefer to double check with me about any unusual or graphic content, but generally any kinks are fine as long as everyone in the story is enthusiastically consenting.
Other notes:
I would recommend that anyone thinking of bidding has a
listen to some of my work to get a feel for my style. I have podfics
at all ratings and a variety of lengths. A good example to listen to
would be the short T-rated podfic I narrated for the Podfuckery, as
that is pretty typical of my storytelling style and I didn't use any
effects in that one.
If you have a particular fic in mind and permission from the author (or the author has blanket permission for podfics), great! I'm also happy to give advice and help choose if you've got a few in mind and you're not sure which fics will work well with my style. If you're a bit new to podfics in general, I do also have a FAQ for writers in chapter 4 of my podfic guide on AO3 which might be worth a read.
