Fanwork Details:
I'm happy to offer betaing for SPaG, characterization, plot development (I'm really good at continuity as well) and any other beta help that you might want — I'm also very good at catching when the 'u's have been taken out (good for when writing a British or Canadian character, familiar with a medium selection of British 'stuff' as a result of having family over there.)

Relevant experience/background:
I minored in creative writing and spent four years in seminars being critiqued and offering critiques. I've had a lot of practice only offering constructive advice or editing suggestions.

Additional notes about labor offered:
I'm happy to do various levels of betaing - if you want me to stick strictly to one thing (for example, only SPaG or only characterization) then I can, if you want me to just note what I think could or should be changed that's what I'll do - if you want the reasoning behind why I edited something the way I did, I'm more than happy to leave a note.

I love to have a dialogue going with anyone I'm working with and to have a deadline for when the edit is expected back -- while my schedule is flexible and I shouldn't have any issues getting it done, depending on the length/number of edits and what I'm up to, I don't want to leave my partner hanging because we got our wires crossed and I was out of town or something like that! I'm also chill with getting the occasional message that's just a single sentence giving you trouble (but not looking to edit the whole thing one sentence at a time! lol). I'm also happy to be a sounding board if plot points are giving you issues and you need to talk it out.

For Marvel specifically this means that I ignore the five year time jump in Endgame (I think it's a crazy writing choice to have Tony make that decision, but that's me) when everyone is brought back and that I do not acknowledge most of Secret Invasion for obvious favourite character reasons.

Other notes:
I really like to stay in contact with people that I’m writing for - I’ve done gift exchanges where everything is anonymous until the reveal so it’s harder to communicate for obvious reasons, but I love being able to talk to my bidder during the whole process if they also want that :) There's a lot of things that can appear just from bouncing ideas off someone!

Prompt wise, I'm okay to start with a vague prompt and go from there with collaboration from you; I'm also more than happy to send updates or snippets or rough drafts so that you can make sure you're happy with what you're receiving.

I've picked a word range that tends to be my usual length and I really do try to make sure that the ending of the story is at a minimum hopeful, if not happy -- while I'm happy to put characters through the wringer, they get enough sad endings in canon and I think that fanfic should allow them the happiness that their home stories usually don't. I like to try and have some jokes and I'm (I like to think!) good at finding reasons for even the most absurd things to make sense when it comes to AUs or fusions.
