Fanwork Details:
Betaing: I am able to offer beta-reading for either American or British English. I typically offer a more technical beta-reading for spelling, grammar, word choice and overall sentence structure. As part of this, I may additionally be able to provide a handful of suggestions/concrit, if I am familiar with the fandom. However, I am not generally comfortable offering in-depth review/concrit of the story's plot, characterisation, style choices, etc., so if this is something you're seeking, you may be better suited to a different beta reader.

Culture-picking: I can offer culture-picking for the USA, and especially the East Coast, as well as Colorado. Additionally, I can offer a lighter culture-picking for the UK (specifically southern England) and Spain, though if you are looking for either of these exclusively, I might first look into others who may have more in-depth/native experience.

Translation: I am able to offer translation from English into Spanish or vice versa. However, due to the specific complexity required, I am limiting this offering to works of roughly 1k or less.

Sensitivity reading: I am able to offer sensitivity reading as part of the following communities/life experiences:
-The LGBTQ community as a whole, and specifically the trans (male), bisexual, and queer experiences, as well as experience with ENM and the asexual spectrum
-The disabled community as a whole, and specifically experience with mental health conditions including a spectrum of anxiety and depressive disorders, PTSD and CPTSD. I may also be able to provide a lighter reading of invisible chronic pain conditions, though this is dependent on the nature of your work
-The neurodivergent community as a whole, and specifically experience of ADHD
-Adverse childhood experiences and parental abuse
-School shootings (this is subject to discussion, and is only offered depending on the nature of your work)
-Growing up and living as a fat person
-Moving/adjusting to a new country and culture as a teenager (and adult), including studying abroad
-Christianity as a whole, and specifically Lutheranism

Specialist expertise: I am able to offer general expertise in the American and British foster care systems, from multiple perspectives - as a service user, foster carer, and social worker. I am especially familiar with the services surrounding teenagers.

Relevant experience/background:
Betaing: I have been reviewing/editing/beta-reading on and off for the past decade. This has included both fanfiction and original work, though I have more experience with fanfiction. I also co-founded my school's first writing club, which I lead for a number of years. As part of this, a significant portion of time was spent reviewing and editing others' work.

Culture-picking: I am originally from the USA, originally growing up on the East Coast and spending my formative years in Colorado. I now live in southern England, and I originally moved here as a minor, so I have also spent a significant (formative) portion of my life here. Finally, through my degree, studying abroad, and significant involvement with the language and culture through my wife and her family, I have a cultural and linguistic understanding of Spain. I am also able to run more in-depth queries by my wife for her native expertise.

Translation: I am a native English speaker educated to a degree level, and proficient to roughly a B2 level in Spanish, which was also a significant portion of my degree. Part of this degree was spent learning translation from both languages. Additionally, my wife is a native Spanish speaker from Spain who also grew up fluent in English. Any translation I provide (whether English into Spanish or vice versa) will be checked by my wife for accuracy (and, in the case of English into Spanish, to ensure the sentences flow at a native level).

Sensitivity reading: All of the listed topics and communities are those I have lived experience of, in order to offer the most authentic voice I am able to. I have spent a significant portion of time within each of the communities, including volunteering with others whose experiences differ significantly from my own.

Specialist expertise: In addition to significant amounts of volunteering, research, and lived experiences, I am currently undergoing certification to become a foster carer, and am a prospective social worker.

Additional notes about labor offered:
I am happy to offer any/all of the selected fan labour as part of the same package for the winning bid, with the exception of beta-reading for Spanish works, as I am not a native speaker and therefore do not feel comfortable providing this. Adicionalmente, podemos comunicar en español, pero a veces prefiero usar ingles para los sujectos más complicado (ej. "sensitivity reading").

Unwilling to address:
Actual, graphic non-con (explicitly stated CNC is fine) and extreme underage, extreme violence/torture/gore, cannibalism, HNC/situations of general hopelessness/tearjerkers, non-canon-compliant MCD (or canon-compliant MCD where the entire focus of the fic is on the death), body horror, mind fuck, extreme substance abuse, bugs, furry, feeding/feederism, foot fetish, wet and messy/"gross" smut fics.
