Characters/pairings of interest:
I am happiest writing Sherlock/John. I am unwilling to write
John or Sherlock in a relationship with someone else as the main focus
or end goal of a story, though incidental jealousy is fine.
Subjects/theme/tropes of interest:
I adore banter and cases and danger and all of the little
things that make Sherlock and John fit together so well. I like to
write about flawed but well-intentioned people, with all of their
sharp edges intact. I like stories that deal with emotional fallout,
uncomfortable conversations, misunderstandings and missed chances.
Angst is my wheelhouse, generally with a happy or hopeful ending. I'm
comfortable working within any time period in BBC Sherlock canon,
S1-S4 and beyond. I love AUs but they can be tricky to write
(particularly in shorter stories), so I just ask that you please reach
out to me before bidding if you have something very specific in
mind.
Unwilling to address:
I'm really not the person to go to for PWP. No omegaverse,
mpreg, teacher/student, major religion focus, rape/rape recovery, or
very large age differences. I genuinely don't have the capacity to
write fluff without angst (believe me, I've tried!), though there is
always joy to balance out the darkness. I'd prefer not to write
Sherlock or John doing anything unforgivable to one another, and I'd
also rather not write Sherlock or John ending up with someone else. I
don't mind bittersweet stories or endings that fall just shy of happy,
but I do shy away from writing outright tragedy.
Other notes:
I'm looking forward to writing a Sherlock fic of
approximately 5-10k words for you! :)
If you've got an idea for a prompt but aren't sure if it's something I'd be comfortable working with, feel free to send me an email or drop me a message on Tumblr and I'm happy to talk it through before bidding. Upon winning a bid, we'll connect through email and hash out some ideas. Once we agree on a prompt and a direction, I usually take a little while to ruminate over the ideas before I begin drafting and posting.
If you look at some of my past FTH contributions, most are quite a bit longer than what I'm able to offer this year. I'm going to be sticking pretty firmly to my word count limits this time around, so please take that into account when considering your prompt.
Auctions run from 8:00AM EST, 25 February 2025, to 8:00PM EST, 1 March 2025. Bids before or after this period are invalid and will not be counted. If you would like to bid on this auction:
Step 1: Check the bidding spreadsheet to find out what the current high bid is. (Note: It may take up to five minutes for a bid to appear.)
Step 2: Fill out the creator's bidding form with a bid that is higher than the current high bid. If you want to make it harder for someone to outbid you, bid higher! We will NOT notify you if someone outbids you. FTH will only notify you if you are the high bidder after the auctions end.
