I like to write about flawed but well-intentioned people, with all of their sharp edges intact. I'm comfortable working within any time period in BBC Sherlock canon, S1-S4 and beyond. I love AUs but they can be tricky to write (particularly in shorter stories), so I just ask that you please reach out to me before bidding if you have something very specific in mind.

Unwilling to address:
I'm really not the person to go to for PWP. No omegaverse, mpreg, teacher/student, major religion focus, rape/rape recovery, or very large age differences. I genuinely don't have the capacity to write fluff without angst (believe me, I've tried!), though there is always joy to balance out the darkness. I'd prefer not to write Sherlock or John doing anything unforgivable to one another, and I'd also rather not write Sherlock or John ending up with someone else. I don't mind bittersweet stories or endings that fall just shy of happy, but I do shy away from writing outright tragedy.

Also, I will not write for any ship that's not johnlock or mystrade (or both). I will do gen (non-romantic) fics for basically any character, but for ships, nothing that isn't johnlock or mystrade. No adlock, no warstan, no any of that (for warstan I will do past warstan, like if you wanted a johnlock fic where John used to be in love with Mary before falling in love with Sherlock. While I've got quite the portfolio of MDZS fics, the Guardian is a new fandom for me to write for and BBC Sherlock would be a return to an old fandom. When it comes to word count, I'm confident I can do 5k-10k but am more likely to go over that count for MDZS. It's definetly where I'm the most comfortable (but I do want to spread my wings again ;)

As for involvement, I work best with a jumping off point. It can be as basic as a trope or AU theme, or something more indepth. If you just want to give a basic idea, and then have no contact until the fic is finished I can work with that. If you want to be more invovled, I'm more than willing to use you as my sound board (my roommates would thank you as they'd get a break) or since I'm prone to indecision I'd love to have you make the choice for me. I'm open to incorporating plot ideas/beats that you have, however I will struggle if you give me a detailed plot you want me to follow to the T with no wiggle room. I need some space to stretch my wings and get excited about what I'm writing. I'm also open to sending you pieces to confirm the fic is going in the direction you'd like.

I have few "must-haves", but one of them is that the main paring is Johnlock. Otherwise I'm happy to write most tropes. Smut is definitely on the table, I'd keep it vanilla, though, I'm not good at hard-core kink stuff. Friends to lovers with a happy ending are my cup of tea, domestic fluff, parentlock, case fics, pining, light to medium angst are all things I've done before and will happily do again. AUs are my special happy place, so if you have an AU you've always wanted to see, I'm your girl.

Unwilling to address:
No rape, non-con, dub-con, Sherlock/other, John/other (except Mary, but only if it's brief), unhappy endings, torture porn, character death, infidelity. As for the sex, I'd say keep it vanilla. I have a few hard nos (mainly involving bodily fluids) and I quite frankly admit that I might not be the best qualified to write heavier kink. So if you want kink, we'd need to negotiate a bit before. I'm also not interested in addressing Season 4 in any depth, I noped out after The Six Thatchers, so if you want anything specifically addressing events of TLD and TFP, I might not be the best person to do it.

Sherlock Holmes: A primary focus on Watson or Holmes alone after Reichenbach (can do some scenes then as long as most of the fic is set post-Empty House). Focus on Watson’s marriages. Watson trying to change Holmes or treating him as a problem that needs to be fixed. Primary focus on characters other than Holmes and Watson.

Other notes:
This listing is specifically for an under 5k hurt/comfort fic. I’m especially fond of aspec interpretations, but I enjoy writing everything from gen to romance, so just let me know your preference. Please note my offered versions of canon in the “characters/pairings” section! Willing to include NFSW and dark topics, but if you want something really specific, contact me to check before bidding. Also please contact me if you have your heart set on a particular headcanon or prompt!

If you can provide 2-3 possible prompt ideas, that’s ideal. They can be as vague or specific as you like, although if it’s specific I may need to rearrange some elements to make the story work. (e.g. “I’d love some hurt/comfort with hurt Crowley!” is just as welcome as “Holmes gets captured during a case, Watson rescues him, but they’re both traumatized, so then—”).
