Special interests (what is this?): Aro/ace characters, Canonically trans or nonbinary chars, Gen (no ship) or platonic works, Trans or nonbinary interpretations of canon characters

Fanwork Details:
Jewish & American culture-picking, sensitivity reading for Jewish, aromantic, asexual, transgender (especially transmasculine), ADHD, autistic, and chronically and mentally ill characters, as well as writing queerplatonic relationships.

Specialist expertise: Archives and archival work, stringed instruments and orchestras, queer history, scientific & medical history, historical research

Relevant experience/background:
I'm an American Jew, aro/ace and transgender, both ADHD and autistic, and manage chronic physical and mental health conditions like POTS and OCD. I should also add that my queerplatonic partner has severe ME/CFS, or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which I have also become very familiar with.

As far as specialist expertise goes, I'm a grab bag. I've played viola for 16 years; I currently work as an archives assistant in a LGBTQ+ history library & have fairly in-depth knowledge of both archives and queer history; I previously worked in a historical medical library and study the history of science, particularly in Early Modern Europe; I also work for my state's historical society teaching middle and high school students how to do historical research projects, and know of a lot of great research resources that I would love to connect you with as a result!

Additional notes about labor offered:
I do a lot of really in-depth historical research for my own fic (for some particularly relevant examples on Ao3, check out "Go Down to the Netherworld, Plant Grapes," "Stemma Codicum," and "Future Boy") and would love to help you figure out what resources you have access to and how to go about doing solid historical research for media set in other time periods or historical AUs.

I am willing to work with folks writing for any fandom, though if you're looking for a particularly good match, some of my personal favorites include The Locked Tomb, Critical Role, The Owl House, Pentiment, Back to the Future (the movies and musical), Lord of the Rings, Dracula, and Dungeon Meshi.

Subjects/theme/tropes of interest:
Historical fandoms and AUs; trans male characters; stories about disability and mental illness; asexuality, aromanticism, and queerplatonic relationships; whump and hurt/comfort; friendship; the complexity of identity, personhood, and self-discovery; science fiction and fantasy; elaborate worldbuilding, Jewish characters and Judaism.

Unwilling to address:
While I am comfortable offering my services to those writing sex- and romance-centric works, I am very much sex- and romance-averse myself and will not be able to offer very much feedback on those elements.

Auctions run from 8:00AM EST, 25 February 2025, to 8:00PM EST, 1 March 2025. Bids before or after this period are invalid and will not be counted. If you would like to bid on this auction:
