I enjoy reading humor and romcoms and really any material that fits well with my very flat American accent. For this reason, I have a preference for modern settings, but it's not required. In general, I like non-neurotypical POVs, pining, "idiots to lovers" and all kinds of tropes in that direction, angst, and diaspora experiences. On the podfic production side, I like opportunities to use sound effects and music. One of the things I can bring to English-language podfic is moderately better quality pronunciation of Chinese and Japanese (I'm confident but not native) and Indonesian (native accent, but the fic would still need to be in English). For kpop in particular, I have a strong preference for idolverse/canonverse or at least modern AU settings without supernatural or fantastical elements (animal hybrids, golden age of piracy).

I'm primarily a canonverse/canon-compliant writer for this fandom, but I also enjoy writing canon divergence and stories which still have them working in the creative industry in some capacity. I can definitely work with other premises, but if you're looking for high-concept AUs (so things like vampire AU, mafia AU, etc.), I might not be the best fit for you.

As far as prompts go, I prefer working with fairly specific ideas (so a little more than, for example, just "model AU") - I like to know at least a little bit about what kind of a starting point the recipient has in mind (so for example: "high-profile supermodel Seonghwa meets Hongjoong, an assistant to a big-name fashion designer with big runway dreams of his own" would be a great prompt for me - it's specific enough while giving me some creative freedom as well). I also always appreciate it when the recipient comes to me with a selection of a few ideas to pick from.

Once we decide on the specific idea, I'll provide a brief overview of the story as I imagine it and we can hash out the details - sometimes I will go back to clarify a thing or two or ask about the inclusion of a specific trope in the story, but like I said, I prefer to have a little more creative freedom, so I'm probably not a very good fit for someone who has a very clear, detailed vision of the entire story from start to finish and doesn't want it to deviate from their outline too much or at all.

I write within "canon" universe for K-pop; I'm not available for AUs completely outside of the entertainment industry. However, I am open to pre-canon, post-canon, canon divergence, omegaverse, supernatural elements, etc. so long as the background setting is still the K-pop industry. (For example: one person in the pairing is an idol and the other isn't, soulmates being part of the industry, etc. are all possibilities, as well as strictly "canon compliant" stories.) I've been writing fic for years, inside and outside my current fandom(s), and while I tend to write character-focused fic that's a bit on the heavier side thematically, I will happily write romance and smut as well. I may not be your best bet if you're looking for omegaverse or fluff (although I'm always down to give it a try), but if you're looking for an open ending, an ambiguous ending, or some good old-fashioned angst, then I'm more likely to be a good match for your prompt.
