I also prefer not to read for works that heavily describe or focus on gore, torture, abuse, or graphic violence, and would not be comfortable with works that focus on any aspect of pregnancy. Other notes:
I would love to read for a piece that's mostly narration and light on dialogue, especially since I'll potentially be unfamiliar with some characters and settings! I would love to stay in touch with a bidder so we can talk about lines that might stump me due to unfamiliarity or just to make sure we're on the same page with characters' emotions! It worked very well for me last year to be given a short list of fics so the bidder and I could work together to narrow down the best fit for me. I don't attempt to match accents and don't have a huge range of character voices, but I can usually keep 3-4 characters and narration fairly distinct. At my typical reading rate, 3000 words usually ends up around 20 minutes, which feels very comfortable for me to record in one or two sittings.
