Characters/pairings of interest:
I'm really open to whatever a bidder is interested in as
long as I have sufficient familiarity to do a particular character or
pairing justice. Writing on relatively familiar ground would, of
course, have advantages, but so would trying something new.
Subjects/theme/tropes of interest:
I tend to gravitate toward angst, including
feelings/experiences like ambivalence, insecurity, jealousy, and
pining. "Enemies-to-lovers" stories are a favorite of mine. I often
enjoy putting some distance between a point-of-view character and the
"implied author"—in other words, portraying a character's perspective
but finding ways to show the reader the gaps and distortions in that
perspective. I love showing how characters and relationships develop
through intimacy.
Unwilling to address:
I'd like to avoid prompts involving incest. I'm not opposed
to portraying nonconsensual sexual contact but would need to be able
to take it seriously and treat it with sensitivity. I'd like to avoid
anything involving stereotypical portrayals of twins.
Other notes:
I'm open to working with a bidder in a variety of ways
depending on their preferences. If they have specific things they want
to see, I'll find a way to include them, but if they want to keep
things more open, I'll be happy to come up with my own ideas within
the boundaries of the prompt. I'll be as communicative as possible and
I'll be open to feedback at various points in the process.
